Steel Fox is a POWER / HEAVY METAL band formed in the year 1997, idealized by brothers and childhood friends. The name refers to the cunning and survival instinct of the white fox of the Arctic. The initial line-up consisted of brothers Daniel Camelo and Júlio Alcindo on guitars, brothers Paulo Kildery (drums) and Tony Kleber (keyboards), Radnay Stephan (bass) and Robson Alves (vocals). With this line-up, the band recorded in 2003 the EP “Bloody Dream”, released independently.
The band promoted the release of the EP in several events and festivals, with acclaimed participation in the consolidated FORCAOS festival, held in Fortaleza. With new compositions in progress during this period, the band was preparing to record their debut, when it was surprised, Júlio Alcindo was diagnosed with cancer in his stomach. The activities were postponed in the expectation of their treatment to occur successfully, however, Júlio Alcindo died in 2012 and the band went into hibernation for 4 years.
The band then decides to return in 2016, with a new line-up and new proposal, following a more traditional model for their songs. With the return, after some successful presentations, the band begins the process of recording their debut album. The ebb of the album’s title seemed easy and obvious, the band was facing a fresh start and a new spirit of work appeared to the team. Then “Savagery” was ready.
All the features that are part of the band’s style are present in the compositions. Lyrics with themes related to battles, wars and some criticisms against religions. The line-up of the recordings was composed by the musicians Robson Alves (vocals), Daniel Camelo and Matheus Damasceno on guitars, Philipe Praciano(bass) and Paulo Kildery(drums). Right after recording, Matheus Damasceno leaves the band to dedicate to studies, then the band convenes Tiago Rezakk to take the post.
With the formation closed, the band receives a proposal for the worldwide launch of “Savagery”, through the German label STF Records, which involved a quiet and very promising negotiation for the work of the band.
The launch of “Savagery” occurred on July 27, in the formats physical and digital platforms. The album has received great critics of the European media portals, being transmitted in diverse radios of the old continent.
